Pelvic Health Physical Therapy in La Crosse & Onalaska

Pelvic health issues are incredibly common — and far too often, people are told to simply live with them. Leaking when you sneeze, pelvic pain that disrupts your daily life, discomfort that followed childbirth and never fully resolved — these are not things you just have to accept.

At Dynamic Performance and Therapy, our pelvic health specialists provide expert, compassionate, one-on-one care in a private, comfortable setting. We treat the root cause of your symptoms and give you real tools to reclaim your confidence, your comfort, and your life.

What to Expect at Your First Pelvic Health Visit

Step 1: A thorough, private intake conversation. We take time to listen to your full history — medical, personal, and lifestyle — without rushing.

Step 2: A whole-body movement assessment. Pelvic health rarely exists in isolation. We assess how your posture, hips, spine, and breathing all connect.

Step 3: An internal pelvic floor assessment (if appropriate and with your full consent). This is never assumed or required. Your therapist will explain every step and will only proceed when you are comfortable.

Step 4: Your personalized treatment plan. You will leave your first visit with a clear understanding of what's happening in your body and a realistic, individualized plan to address it.

Your Pelvic Health Is Part of Your Whole-Body Wellness

Pelvic health is just one part of your journey. Whether you're preparing for pregnancy, recovering after childbirth, navigating menopause, or looking for wellness support beyond physical therapy, our Women's Health program brings together specialized care for every stage of life.

Common Questions, Straight Answers

Is an internal pelvic exam required?

No. We always discuss the purpose and process first, and proceed only with your informed consent. Internal assessment is often helpful, but there are always alternatives and we will guide you through every option.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You'll want to move freely. We provide draping for privacy during any hands-on work.

Is pelvic health PT covered by insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans. Pelvic health physical therapy is a covered service under many plans. Contact us and we'll help verify your coverage before your first visit.

I've had symptoms for years. Is it too late for PT?

Absolutely not. Many patients with longstanding pelvic health concerns — even years post-birth or post-surgery — experience significant improvement with the right care.

Will I have to do exercises at home?

Yes — a home exercise program is an important part of your recovery. We'll make it realistic and tailored to your schedule and goals.
