Physical Therapy Treatments & Techniques in La Crosse & Onalaska

Effective physical therapy isn't one technique applied to everyone — it's the right combination of the right tools, applied by a clinician who understands your body and your goals.

At Dynamic Performance and Therapy, our providers are trained in a broad range of advanced treatment techniques. This gives us the flexibility to build a truly individualized approach — going beyond what a standard clinic can offer. Below is our full toolkit, organized by category.

Common Questions, Straight Answers

How does my physical therapist decide which techniques to use?

Your therapist selects techniques based on your specific presentation — the nature and location of your dysfunction, how your tissue responds, your goals, and your comfort. Most plans combine multiple techniques rather than relying on a single approach. We reassess at every visit and adjust accordingly.

Do I need to request specific treatments, or does my therapist decide?

Your therapist drives the clinical decisions — but you are always involved. We explain what we're planning and why before we begin, and your comfort and consent come first. If you've had a positive experience with a specific technique before, let us know and we'll factor that in.

Are all treatments available at every location?

Most treatments are available at Onalaska and State Road. Some specialist techniques — Fascial Counterstrain, Visceral Mobilization, and Shockwave Therapy — are primarily available at our State Road clinic. Dry needling and manual therapy are available across locations. Each individual treatment page notes which providers and locations offer it.

The right technique makes all the difference.

Book an evaluation and your therapist will assess your presentation and build a plan using the techniques most appropriate for your specific needs.
